Fields of application

1.Construction.

Used as water retainer and retarder for cement mortar to make the mortar pumpable. Used as binder for mortar, putty powder or other building materials to improve spreadability and prolong open time. The water retention property of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose HPMC prevents the slurry from cracking due to rapid drying after construction and improves the strength after hardening.

Standard tile adhesives fulfill all tensile bond strength requirements for C1 tile adhesives. They are optionally available with improved slip resistance or extended open time. Standard tile adhesives can be normal setting or fast setting.
Cement tile adhesives must be easy to smooth. They must provide long embedment times, high slip resistance and adequate bond strength. These properties may be affected by HPMC. 2)Dry mortar

Dry mortar is a mixture of mineral binders, aggregates and additives. Depending on the process, dry mortars are available in both hand and machine types.
